<p>The feelings created by anxiety originate from the hippocampus and amygdala, two regions of the brain. An undesirable odor triggers a large amount of blood flow in the amygdale, resulting in a medium level of anxiety as well.</p>
<p>It is common that those who experience anxiety will generally have a sense of fear. Studies show that these reactions are designed to keep humans from ingesting food that may be harmful to their health. Although worrying is normal, it intensifies to an anxiety disorder when excessive. <strong>Anxiety in adults is broken into phobias, panic disorders, generalized anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders</strong>. Someone with a phobia has an abnormal fear of a specific object or situation and prolific imagination, yet realizes the fear is irrational.</p>
<p>One form of anxiety in adults is a panic attack. A person who experiences an extreme panic attack may suffer dizziness or breathing problems. The panic attack will generally reach its height in about 10 minutes.</p>
<p>Generalized anxiety abnormality is prevalent and affects a larger portion of the population. It occurs in both men and women, and is characterized by intense fear that is unrelated to any specific object or situation.</p>
<p>Anxiety may also result in obsessive-compulsive sickness where an individual has an obsession or compulsion to a specific behavior. The person sees the need to be busy in order to distract oneself and forget the fear. An example of a type of obsession is when a person is obsessed with being extremely clean and has the fear of germs which induces washing of hands numerous times in a single day.</p>

We all have behaviors that can be quirky but when they effect and control your life you might want to get help. Below are a few types of OCD categories that may help you evaluate your behavior.</p>
<p>Being obsessed with contamination and dirt can be an obsession if you have an unrealistic fear of them. If you are fearful of contracting a fatal disease, germs and spreading germs that reach an unhealthy point you may have cause for concern.</p>
<p>Symmetry is another type of OCD category. People who suffer from this cannot stand anything to be out of place. This can be their belongings or someone else&#8217;s. They cannot their clothes out of order as well.</p>
<p>Checking can also be an obsession. Driving around and around a corner because you saw something, afraid someone is hurt or constantly checking yourself for disease is a cause for concern. Being aware if fine, being obsessed with it is an issue.</p>
<p>Having a superstitious fear that you need to wash your hands twelve times, take a shower five times a day or the fear that nothing is ever clean are all cause for concern regarding an obsession. There are many more but these are just examples.</p>
<p>There are more categories as well but the bottom line is if you have a compulsion that is affecting your life and making it difficult to live and maintain relationships it could be an OCD behavior. If this is a tendency for you then you may have OCD. If they are minimal consider them quirks about you and don&#8217;t worry about it.</p>
<p>There are many support groups out there for specific behaviors you can look into. There are some medications that can be taken but finding the root of the behavior is the best course of healing and rehabilitation.
