Why is life these days lived at such a hectic pace? Instead of long lunches we grab fast food on the move and everything has to happen NOW. Take a deep breathe and slow down.

We all need structure in our lives and goals to aim for. Without directions we veer through life and frequently go off the rails, your goals will give you a purpose.

You must think about your goals very carefully. Make sure its something that you can definitely accomplish and set a date that you must achieve it by. Don’t let your imagination run riot as these aren’t goals; they are fantasies.

As you have to set yourself a time to complete your goals by; those such as being a better person or parent are simply unrealistic. These are immeasurable so forget these as goals.

Before you decide on your final goal, look at the time span. Between 2 and 3 months is ideal, so make sure you ca achieve your goal in this time span.

Setting yourself goals for the first time can be daunting, so I have a few pointers here to help make your decision easier. The possibilities are endless, but remember to stick to reality.

Simple ideas for first time goals include saving a certain amount of money within your time span to treat yourself to a special something. How about running or walking a certain distance within a set time, such as 30 or 40 minutes.

Why not plan a party or event for your family and friends, or read that book that’s been gathering dust on your shelf. Making new friends is a good one, but not if you are painfully shy!

Make your first few goals short term until you have got the hang of it, then take on bigger challenges over a longer period of time, this also teaches you commitment. Best of luck in all your goals and look forward to a life with direction.

The human ego, mind, and soul continue to be mysterious subjects. Even though the field of neurology has undergone huge advances over the past few decades, consciousness is an area in which there are no hard facts. Where is our mind? Science simply is not able to tell you. But this does not stop us from searching out an answer. For this reason there are more people now interested in spiritual and alternative practices.

Organised religion does not always provide the information we require, deeper more meaningful secrets can sometimes be had through different sources. Past life regression is one such technique that can help you gain a wider insight into your being.

Though we like to believe that we are an advanced civilization the actual truth is rather different. We are very consumerist, but this is not proof of a high intelligence. The mysterious that surround consciousness are still to be solved.

Perhaps you are the type of person that always reacts badly to certain locations or situations but you do not know why this happens so often. The answer could be a memory that is stored deep within your energy or consciousness field. This isn’t a physical dimension like matter; consciousness exists eternally and irrespective of a vehicle or body. It cannot disappear as like skin and bone.

Past life regression is used to pull information out from the deepest recesses of your psyche. Maybe you have certain mental problems in your life that you have had trouble overcoming, if so then this therapy can be used to gain a deeper understanding of yourself. You will be able to overcome phobias and feelings easier.

Many of us suffer recurring dreams, and nightmares, of certain situations and events. These can trouble us our whole lives. These may have incredibly details and vivid. In past life regression you are put under hypnosis; the psychiatrist will then extract details from deep in your mind relating to past experiences.

It is possible that we have all had countless past lives. By choosing this therapy you can unlock knowledge of a long history. Alongside the help that this is in coping with our daily stresses there is also a curiosity angle. It must be said that it’s fascinating to find out who we were in a different era. Perhaps you were even a famous historical character.

More individuals are now accepting the idea of having a number of past existences. The concept has been an integral part of eastern religion and philosophy for thousands of years. Reincarnation is also now becoming well known in western culture.

Whether you have a simple curiosity in the spiritual aspect of past life therapy or if you are after help in coping with mental stresses and turmoil that are a real problem, it is a technique that will not leave you with any concerns or regrets. You will find that it is an option becoming more widely available each year in towns and cities up and down the country.

Everyone knows that body language can disclose personality traits and intentions. On observation, you can tell if some one is bent on causing you pleasure or pain. This comes in very handy in a poker game.

This art applies to poker in that you can read “tells” on everyone around the table. A tell is a repetitive signal which divulges a players hand and intentions. Apply your knowledge of body language to a situation relevant to the environment. Distinct gestures may be repeated in distinct circumstances. For example, a player who fiddles with his chips before a move intending to force you into a check, can disclose his hand (or narrow the options down) as well as his thought pattern.

Reading of the opponents’ hands and minds is not magic. Body language may appear to have nothing to do with actual poker, but pros rely heavily on it and any aspiring player should acquire at least the basics of it: it is fun (especially when you finally become good at it) and it earns you cash. Not least importantly, it makes you more aware of this aspect of the game. Not only that you learn to read other people’s tells, you become aware of your own – and everybody has them – and thus learn to conceal them (sometimes, when it is possibly, by removing them altogether; sometimes by converting them into something else, so that they mislead any other body-readers at the table).

Don’t underestimate the potential of reading body language. The best players always use what seems least likely. They perfect their directly card-related skills, but they also rely on the entire environment in which the specific poker table is situated. Advanced body-reading is mostly intuitive, but a good grasp on it immediately puts a player at the top among those players who do not appear to be the greatest logicians, yet still lead. Such players can tell their opponents hands and predict moves from how they raise and lower their shoulders or from how they look at things, like clocks on the walls.

Online poker is another thing entirely. Obviously one cannot read an icon’s gestures. What can be read though is the speed with which a decision is made. Buttons are key to the online game, you place bets, make calls and raise by clicking a button. Your opponents are very aware of how much time is involved before you press that decisive button. They will know whether your decision was instant and automatic or somewhat faltering and indecisive.

Such moves are typically uncharacteristic of the rest of the player’s game: they are not naturally slow thinkers; they are simply trying to convince you that they have a good hand, but taking a while to “think” and then pressing “check,” as if saving the good cards for a greater later bank. Actually, they hope their opponent will check as well, so that they don’t have to play a weak hand right away.

After a while you will learn to distinguish between natural pauses and bluffing. The next step is to learn in greater detail the pause-patterns of specific players.

Panic attacks can happen at any point, anywhere, and be caused by an array of circumstances. No one likes to feel powerless, but often your body reacts to stresses in a way that can keep you feeling defenseless and out of control. But you can learn to combat your body’s signal to stress with one or two beneficial tips for panic attacks. Thru breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, and mental training, you can learn to deal with panic attacks.

Before you can combat your panic, you should have a knowledge of the symptoms. Sometimes just understanding that you are not going crazy can help when you begin feeling the onset of those symptoms. These symptoms can include dizzy spells, chest pains, insensibility, clammy hands, difficulty swallowing, sweating, fatigue, weakness, dry mouth, and shortness of breath. Everyone reacts differently, which implies you may experience one or all of these symptoms.

In learning to control panic attacks, first understand what causes your attacks. Have a look at your life and consider the strains you go through daily. These are the most common reasons for panic attacks, but there are any numbers of other triggers. For instance, job interviews, presentations, public talking, and tests can all trigger an attack. The key is understanding that these events are stressful and knowing that you are in peril.

Panic is a reaction to the feeling of being threatened or in danger, a fight or flight reply. Feeling safe and sound is a large part of avoiding the causes of panic attacks. Indulge in activities such as meditation, which gives your intelligence an opportunity to unwind. In intense cases, therapy might be a solution. To the open-minded, self-hypnosis is also a choice. In any case, avoid stimulants like caffeine, which may aggravate the symptoms. In these cases, you can turn to medications. There are a selection of anxiety medicines on the market. Talk with your doctor about what might work for you, or visit a general nutrition store, where you can find herbal supplements and vitamins that have been employed for hundreds of years.

These tips for panic attacks should help you combat the commencement of your next attack. By learning to handle the stresses that cause panic attacks, you can train your body and mind to alleviate or even forestall your next attack and regain control of your life.

If you are a dog lover and spend a lot of time with your pet, you must have noticed how much notice they take of how you behave and do their utmost best to please you. There are quite a few ways to show our love for your dog, these are just a few.

We can show our dogs that we love them in the same way as we would a child, with cuddles and a gentle touch. Dogs, like us, need to feel loved.

A gentle embrace or pat on the back is essential in building a loving relationship between a dog and his owner, it id the main form of communication and with dogs, actions really do speak louder than words.

If you have a small dog letting them sit on your knee while you pet them is mutually enjoyable. A bigger dog can lie beside you to be petted.

If you go out to work all day and your dog is alone in the house, make a fuss of them when you get in and show them that you’ve missed them. There doesn’t have to be a reason to pet your dog, they’ll appreciate all affection.

It’s a sad fact that many owners never think of taking their dogs for a walk, and it is one of the most enjoyable things you can do with your pet. You are spending time together away from the home and it’s a great way of pet and owner connecting. You are sharing a special time together to the exclusion of all others.

Dogs love surprises; to give them special treats for no special reason, so take them to visit a friend who has a dog that you know they enjoy the company of. All these little ways of showing affection will make sure that your pet knows they are loved.

If you think they need the company, the ultimate way of showing that you care is to get them a companion.

Aside from dogs, this writer also regularly gives advice on African market baskets and basket making supplies.

Dementia causes a loss of function to specific areas of the brain. Memory, language, attention, and cognitive function are often affected. Its cause is an interruption of the flow of nutrients and oxygen to the brain caused by the blockage of small blood vessels that feed the brain. The Symptoms of Dementia are memory loss, moodiness, disorientation, and communicative difficulties.

Absentmindedness and forgetfulness are signs of the early stages of the condition. The dementia sufferer has problems remembering the route home, names of people or places, or the events that happened just that morning. In latter stages memory problems persist and become increasingly worse. The dementia patient cannot recognize their own family or gets them confused with another family member, daily tasks are more of a challenge, and the familiar places and objects are not familiar anymore.

Emotional control is difficult to maintain because the areas of the brain that govern them can also be damaged. Anxiety and fear rise due to the fact that the ill person is scared of what is happening to him, or her. Apathy, irritability, and other changes in the personality are almost a certainty as the disease continues on its course.

Disorientation manifests itself in the fact that the patient with dementia often gets lost in familiar surroundings and tends to wander. Time of day is also confused causing a person to want to get in the middle of the night to go out. Judgment is affected in that the sufferer sometimes does not dress appropriately or has increasing difficulty recognizing danger to himself, or herself, or others.

Communication difficulties causes the dementia sufferer to have problems in reading, talking and being understood. Words inappropriate to the conversation are at times slipped into the conversation in place of the correct ones without them realising it or their speech is slurred. Thus coherent speech becomes an increasing challenge, simple words are not remembered, and finding the words for things they want to say is almost impossible.

Other signs or Symptoms of Dementia include troubles in problem solving, dizziness, lack of concentration, and difficulty handling money. Unfortunately as the disease progresses the afflicted one will have increasing difficulty in caring for himself, or herself. Eventually the patient will need full time care and support.

Are you or someone you know suffering from Symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease or Alzheimer’s Dementia?

If we’re going to spend the time working, we might as well do it as efficiently as possible. One would think that the logic should follow this way, yet many people neglect to work at their maximum output.

It’s a shame in my mind when unrealized potential fails to be reached on a day to day basis, so I’ve taken a few measures to ensure that I’m my best self possible on any given day. This has led to some great improvements in my professional life.

Let’s discuss some of the things that I have instituted in my day-to-day life and how you can greatly improve your work performance by following them. Do this on a regular basis and see how quickly you become more efficient at doing your job.

First off, it’s always important to set goals. Without goals, we’ll often work aimlessly without even thinking about what it is that we’re going after.

It doesn’t matter what size goals you set for yourself. I have found that I stay focused better on smaller goals because they are easier to reach. When you have achieved a goal, be sure to reward yourself accordingly.

A second thing that I like to do is to keep a log, mapping my daily progress each day. Hold yourself accountable by doing this, as you’ll feel the need to have some meaningful things to write in there. You may even want to keep a blog up. This way, you’re even more accountable than before.

The third thing that I firmly believe in is keeping yourself in great shape and eating right. The level of energy that you have is directly affected by these two important things. It is a fact that if you have lots of energy, you will be able to do everything that needs done each day quicker and more efficiently.

Go ahead and give these strategies a try and watch how much more productive you can be. The main thing to keep in your thoughts is that you must maintain your focus so that you can reach your goals.

Got no idea about where to start when it comes to picking up women?

Clueless about where to start when it comes to picking up women?

Here are a few tips about how to pick up women that will set you off on the right path to meeting the women of your dreams. What you’ll get is some hands on advice to get you success NOW. Take action on what you read and things will improve for you right away. But firstly let’s talk about the things that you DON’T need to focus on.

You DON’T need a lean muscular physique with come to bed good looks.

This big mistake in judgment occurs with most men. Fact is that 85% of women value how a man makes them FEEL over how he looks. So if you reckon you’re not the hottest looking guy out there, don’t sweat it. It’s not crucial to success.

You DON’T have to be rich, spend a lot of money or drive a hot set of wheels!

A lot of guys I know don’t drive flashy cars, some don’t drive at all and spend less than $35 on a date. But they are never without women. Their skill is in getting her to like them. If she likes you, she’ll overlook little things like what kind of car you drive or how much cash you flash. Did you get that? If she LIKES you!

last but certainly not least… DON’T focus on being INTERESTING!

You DON’T need to have or be any of the things that you thought you needed to be, to attract women.

The truth of the matter is that there really are no excuses. None of the things that are holding you back need to hold you back when it comes to picking up women. She’s just interested in the genuine guy inside. The one with the great personality. Letting him out is easy if you just relax.

Quit thinking about yourself. How interesting you are is not important. Women don’t want to hear your impressive stories about yourself. It tells them you’re only interested in you, and that is an instant turnoff. Why not turn it around and work on being INTERESTED in HER. LISTEN to what she’s saying. Give her positive feedback. Now you’ll have her attention and she’ll LOVE you for it. Go ahead and try it.

You need practice to build your confidence.

When you first try these new tactics, go out often and talk to all the women you can. No need to go to night clubs and high pressure dating environments. You can go anywhere to meet women.

What’s important is that you get out every day and go talk to some women. With practice you’ll soon be a master of the art of picking up women.

Look and smell good.

When you go out to pick up women, make an effort to look good. I said look good, not ‘good looking’!There’s a difference because you have control over how your hair and clothing looks and how you smell.

Do the best you can with what you have. Get a fashion conscious female friend to help if you’re totally lost. Looking good gives you confidence which makes picking up women easier.

If you want to spend money on something to help you pick up women, consider buying a good quality cologne. Women love a guy who smells good. Don’t try and save money and buy a cheap one, women will be turned off by it. Better to leave it alone altogether if you can’t afford it.

For steps to pick up women.

Here’s a series of 4 steps to picking up women you can actually repeat time and time again and get the same results.

Find a woman

speak to her

Gain Rapport

Build Attraction

These four simple steps are all you need! You’ll find that if you can just meet the women you want and gain rapport with them, you’ll easily be able to build attraction with them too. So your job now is to get better at each step.

You can do it!

There are many components of an expert poker player. One thinks of card sense, logical thinking, not being averse to risk, etc, but by far the most often considered aspect is the quality of psychological endurance.

The term “tilt” is one just about everyone has heard of and refers to a change of course in the game – a downturn. Tilt represents a specifically poker-related mental and emotional state, one where the player is irrationally influenced into making moves he never would have made in his normal play. Quite often, in this tilted condition, the player begins a sudden phase of loose-aggressive play or can turn into an unmanageable maniac, or many other weird undesirable deviations from his usual method of play. At times, fear is behind the tilt and the player becomes tight-passive. Whatever the tilt origination, the player is headed down the road to defeat.

It is by far easier and cheaper to be able to avoid going on tilt at all, than to allow it and then struggle to repair the calamity. A thorough knowledge of poker is your best help in this respect. If you understand what distance and dispersion is in poker you will find it much easier to endure bad spells. Familiarity with mathematical statistics and the theory of probability in general helps you establish a realistic outlook on any or most situations in your life.

Understanding statistics gives you an awareness that specific combinations do not always guarantee the same result. For instance, AQs is only a 68% successful combination. It stands a good chance of losing approximately one out every three deals.

As we all know, knowledge in itself is not enough to always be of assistance. One can be in total awareness that odd things occur and that you can handle the situation. But a long train of bad cards can upset the coolest cat and the lucky morons become even more annoying at this point. Despite your coolness, in spite of yourself, you may find that you are running completely amok. This is tilt, my friend, and you must ride it to the best of your ability without becoming completely unhinged.

For now, yes; but besides theoretical knowledge, there is another trick which may help you avoid going on tilt: a practical knowledge of your personal “triggers” – those specific events which trigger the undesirable reaction.

To gain control over any event, you need to have a full understanding of it prior to its inception. You need to be able to identify it prior to its occurrence so you can thwart that demon in you that sends you out of control. This will allow you to avoid flailing blindly into full tilt mode, because you knew the signs in yourself before, during and after the event and can catch yourself before madly spiraling into the abyss. You will be able to maintain at least a semblance of clear headedness and reverse the trend if not altogether avoid it.

Pragmatism is what you are after here. When you feel a tilt coming on, you will be able to recognize the signs and be far more capable of controlling it, if not being able to completely avoid it.

Did you ever get lightheaded, with sweaty palms, dizzy and with your heart pumping adrenaline like an overdosed drug addict, all of a sudden while you are in your auto driving?

Did you ever get lightheaded, with sweaty palms, dizzy and with your heart pumping adrenaline like an overdosed drug addict, suddenly while you’re in your auto driving?

Panic Attack While Driving is a relatively common form of anxiety panic attack. It’s spreading more in the recent years, and sadly it touches younger and younger folks as well .

There are 2 types of things you can do regarding panic attacks while driving

Avoid Panic Attacks while driving Deal with Panic Attacks while driving

As you may guess, the 1st type is the one you should be aiming for.

Here are two things you might want to do, to avoid anxiety attacks while driving. Not having it in the 1st place is thousand times better than having to deal with it once it’s there, don’t you agree?

If you have got a CD you enjoy listening to, put it on while you’re driving, and simply relax and like it

Have some fruit or light snack with you whenever you are driving, so you can give your body something else to do besides pumping you full with adrenaline.

Avoid thinking about driving. Take your mind off it. Think about the scenery ahead and around you. Think about agreeable thoughts, things to look forward to later on during the day.

Now let’s imagine the panic attack is preparing to grip you, based totally on the symptoms that you already know that come with the assault. So what can you do NOW?

If you can, pull your vehicle over. And if you can, get out of your vehicle and take some deep and slow breath to clear your lungs and fill them with unpolluted air. If you cannot get out of the car thanks to the road specifics, just open the window, lean out a bit and take that full breath of unpolluted air.

Ensure you have a bottle of water with you. You can always sip a bit, or if you have some anxiety tablets, although I actually seldom suggest them, well, now it might be a fun time to pop one in your mouth. These pills are often a fast, easy solution. Simply make sure they will not meddle with your driving afterwards!

Use positive affirmations over and over again. Something similar to : – “I am calm, alert and in full control while driving.” should work fine.
