<p>The computer or mobile device that you are currently using began as a thought. The roof over your head was once a thought in a carpenter&#8217;s mind. Your Iphone was once a thought in Steve Jobs&#8217; mind. The clothes you are wearing, the shoes you have on and the dinner you will eat tonight all began as thoughts.</p>
<p>The article you are reading began as a thought in my mind earlier this morning. A few minutes of repeated and habitual positive thoughts about this article led to the belief in me that I could indeed create this article. This powerful belief motivated me to sit down and begin typing this article. Anything that is created in this world follows the same general steps as the steps I took to create this article.</p>
<p>The lesson learned here is that repeated and habitual thinking about something will bring that something into existence. This applies to physical things, as well as non-physical things such as emotions. Repeated negative thinking about oneself will create emotions of sadness, pity, hopelessness and frustration. A person who constantly experiences these negative emotions will in turn not hold a high level of self confidence. The original pattern of negative thinking, will over time, create a person who is lacking self confidence.</p>
<p>Negative thinking will have a dramatic and highly detrimental effect on the person doing the negative thinking. Over time negative thoughts compound, and can snow ball out of control. The negative emotions created by habitual negative thinking will express themselves in the form of a very beaten down, low self confident person. It is very difficult for a habitual negative thinker to enjoy life.</p>
<p>I know the very real power of negative thinking because I myself suffered from repeated and habitual negative thought during my early twenties. This habitual negative thinking created feelings of anxiety, worry, fear and doubt. These emotions made me into a very low self confident individual. I felt at a loss to say the least. Finally once I realized the cause of my emotions, I began to make changes in my thinking. Over time through positive thought I was able to relieve myself of negative emotions and begin enjoying life again as more confident individual.</p>

<p>Unfortunately blaming other people and events for making us feel the way we do is inaccurate and detrimental to the individual. The truth of the matter is that our thinking, and the way we choose to react to things has a much greater impact on how we feel emotionally. To put it simply, our thoughts create our emotions.</p>
<p>Thus it is very important to always remember that how you are feeling emotionally is a result of the thoughts you have been thinking. Viewed from this perspective, we can use our emotions to tell us whether we are thinking positive, healthy thoughts or negative, detrimental thoughts.</p>
<p>Viewed from this perspective, your emotions become handy indicators, or warning signs that your thinking is getting &#8220;out-of-whack.&#8221;</p>
<p>So how can this new understanding help us to feel better? Well, the next time you find yourself thinking negative thoughts regarding yourself or your life, try guiding your thoughts in a more positive and healthy direction.</p>
<p>For the rest of today, try allowing your feelings to tell you which direction your thoughts are moving. If you begin to feel negative emotions like doubt, worry, fear and anxiety understand that this is your body&#8217;s way of telling you that your thinking is slipping towards the negative end of the spectrum. If you find yourself in this predicament, try guiding your thoughts in a more positive direction, and relish in the improved emotional feelings gained from each improved thought.</p>
