According to research carried out on figures from the national bureau of economic research, people who are above the 5 ft 10″ average height have higher levels of happiness than short people. The men that said that they were not as happy with their lives in the study were on average around one inch shorter than the average height. This was also the same for the women who were not happy withe their lives, they were half an inch shorter than the average height for a woman. It is said that taller people have less negative feelings and are more content with their lives.

So why are tall people happier? The reason that lies behind the happiness has been proved by research to be due to good education and good income. The research revealed that taller people have a better education and better income on average than shorter people. This was the only reason and it had nothing to do with their height. All around the world there are loads of rich and happy short people and sad and depressed tall people.

Another reason that has been said to make tall people happier is that when they walk into a room they do not have to try and get people’s attention, they instantly get it just from being a tall person. Some say that the reason short people aren’t as happy is because they have to make extra efforts to get attention where as tall people are just given it without trying for it.
