A Number Of Facts About Three Year Olds

It is always a very great achievement when kids get to the age of three years since some parents always worry that their children would get to some dangerous stage or get into harm’s way as they continue to grow older. Yet children must grow and be the joy of their parents.

On hitting the age of three, kids become more skillful in many areas of life. They begin to acquire a bigger vocabulary even to reach 1000 words, and use longer sentences. As they as are eager to practice their vocabulary, they enter into endless conversation but parents need not worry too much about this; in fact they should be encouraged.

When children hit the age of three, they are already potty-trained but some might still be struggling with the issue of bedwetting sometimes which might even go up to age five years. At this age, you will find them practicing the use of the alphabet and figures.

The fast three year olds will begin to raise their three fingers to indicate their age and even start recognizing different colors a little.

Usually at this stage the kids would also begin to practice social skills which they do at their daycare or preschool with their many classmates whom they regard as dear friends.

This is because this age does not allow them much differentiation because they cannot tell who a friend is because they only care about whom to play with. You might be very surprised to find them creating imaginary friends but do not be worried.

The playtimes will be more fun and the children become very possessive over their toys. They will most of the time make a big scene as emotions keep running high and all that the parents need to know is that this is part of growth.

If you notice your child clinging too much to certain objects, it shows that they are still feeling a bit insecure but do not worry since it is still about their growth at this point. Notice also how over active they become but the annoyance and headache will turn to joy some day; so just remain focused.
